With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, here are a few tips to get ultra soft, smooth, kissable lips:
Step 1
Apply Vaseline to your lips each night before bedtime. You may have another lip balm product you will want to use instead, but if not, good old Vaseline works wonders.
Step 2
Keep an extra toothbrush handy and use it to lightly brush the surface of your lips each day to remove dead or dry skin. You will want to do this just as your Vaseline or other moisturizer is wearing off so that the dry skin comes off smoothly and easily. If you wait until your lips are already dry, it won’t do much good!
Step 3
Always use a water-resistant lip balm. The skin on your lips is ultra thin and delicate. Since you don’t need to “tan” your lips, too much sun exposure will cause your lips to burn, chap, or worse. This can make applying any type of lip color a nightmare. A protective lip balm will prevent damage and soften your lips all at the same time.
Step 4
Use a lip liner that is close to your natural lip color. You don’t want to use one that’s too dark – your lip liner is there to help keep your lip color in place and make it last longer, not to create a distracting line around your mouth.
Step 5
When applying lipstick, blot your lipstick with a tissue after applying each layer. This will give your base lip color extra staying power.
Step 6
February is a perfect time to try fun, flirty shades in pink, red or berry. Once you’ve finalized your clothing choices, choose a shade that compliments your coloring and goes well with your outfit.
Step 7
After applying your lipstick, finish off your look with a soft, shiny lipgloss. But be sure not to go overboard on the gloss – too much can take your lips from gorgeous to gooey. Also, by layering and blotting your lipstick as mentioned in the above step, you won’t have to touch up your lipstick during the evening, which usually requires precision – and a mirror. Glosses are lighter and easier to apply, so you can quickly and easily touch up the shine if needed.
These tips will give you a perfect pout and help your lip color last much longer – throughout your entire Valentine’s Day date, perhaps?
Cheers,

If there is one thing I cannot live without it’s my mascara. The second you elongate those lashes, your eyes open up and your whole faces takes on a new look. Learn the tricks of the pros and see how you can achieve long, thick, beautifully enticing eyelashes that everyone will fall for!
Step 1:
After applying your face lotion, wait for it to dry completely. Apply a light powder over your eye concealer to prevent leaks and smudges.
Step 2:
Take an eyelash curler and start curling as close to the roots as possible. After doing so, move the curler up a little bit more and curl again. Repeat this process 2-3 times, until lashes are curled up. TIP: if you find that your lashes don’t curl, use your blow dryer to heat up the curler for 2-5 seconds.
Step 3:
Take your favorite thickening or lengthening mascara, and hold the wand at the base of your lashes. Wiggle the wand from side to side then brush straight up through the ends. Apply 2-3 coats on each lash, leaving about 2 minutes in between to dry.

Step 4:
After each coat of mascara, use an eyelash comb to comb out the lashes as to not get any clumps. Avoid smudging by applying a coat of waterproof mascara on top.
Step 5:
Finish off by swiping your lower lashes with mascara. If you wish, you can also add a few fake lashes on the outer corner of your eyes to make them look even fuller.
Cheers,
Dolapo

Makeup Dos and Don'ts
Makeup is very important when it comes to enhancing beauty. Here are some tips to help you use makeup properly and avoid mistakes.
Makeup is a girl’s best friend. It can help you hide certain flaws and emphasize certain facial features. Makeup can absolutely transform a person if it is applied correctly making you go from simple to glamorous and flawless looking.
When it comes to makeup there are certain things you should keep in mind for your health and the health of your complexion.
Here are some things that are allowed and some things you should definitely avoid when it comes to cosmetics:
Do's
• wear products that are especially designed for your type of complexion. Find out what type of skin you have because different skin types require different skin care products and makeup
• exfoliate your skin before you apply makeup to prevent dead skin cells to get trapped in the pores and flaky skin to show when you apply foundation
• moisturize the skin before you apply makeup
• check for expiration dates and get rid of any expired make-up
• clean your makeup utensils often to prevent and eliminate bacteria which can form on your makeup utensils
• remove your makeup every night before bedtime to allow your skin to breath
• wear sunscreen under your makeup especially during the summer and not only!
• apply the makeup in front of a big mirror in a place with good lighting
Don'ts
• use makeup that is not compatible with your skin type
• wear strong, night time makeup during the day
• lend your makeup to anyone. Bacteria can be transferred through makeup from one person to another
• use alcohol or oil based products on oily skin. This will only cause your glands to produce more sebum
• use harsh cosmetic products for the skin
• use expired makeup and cosmetics because bacteria could have formed and you risk causing infections and skin irritations
I have done my good..the rest is up to you to follow..take care!!!

I know that its very late...but i had to talk about it(MI)....and i'm like reminiscing about 2009!!!
My birthday which took place on the 12th December was probably the most blissful day of the year 2009....it was kinda sad at first but i got a grip of myself and had a blast!!!
I could not sleep the night before..cos i was excited bout everything...my day started at about 6am cos i had to go to Kubwa for an interview for Shop Nigeria...it was successful in that i had fun while i as been asked all the questions..however i had fun you know with the battle of words..i was tense at the beginning....
After the interview i got back home and had a shower then headed to the studio for a personal photo shoot...it was fun cos me and the photographer are tight and so i had the best poses and i was so happy(you know how it is)...
While i was at the studio..some of my friends called me and wanted to join me at the studio so i called them over and we had a blast!!
Afterwards we headed to the sharwama shack in Drumstix...we had all the sharwama we could have and of course my favorite drink!!!
Later that evening...a couple of my friends and I headed to the Wine Shop in Wuse 2...i had like 2 glasses of red wine and i was stomped!!!..from there we headed to the Star Mega Fest show featuring Ludacris, Busta Ryhmes and of course my sweetheart M.I.
I left the show at about 3am and slept off the booze and fun....all in all it was my birthday...and i had fun!!!

Ok...Tope's wedding was like a while ago but it happened to be an interesting end of 2009...
The wedding was slated for 18th and 19th of December...i arrived Kaduna on the 17th at about 7pm..i was then ushered to my hotel room by the handsome groom...on getting to my hotel room i found out that i was paired with an old secondary school mate of mine(how cool is that??)
Trust we was gisting like all through the night though we were both tired..we shared some recent gossip about the alumni of my alma mata....
On the 18th..i was up early like my life depended on punctuality..i was later told by my friend that the engagement was slated for 2pm(i was so used to having engagements by 12pm!!)...i departed for the bride's home at about 12pm and i got a little lost in the city of Kaduna..before i located the house..the make-up session for the engagement ceremony breezed by..cos it was something i had mastered even in my dream...i used Mary Kay foundation, sleek and orekelewa eyeshadow and liners...LA colors lip liner, colors and gloss...Black Opal blush and finished up with my darling sleek translucent powder....
The wedding makeup was almost the same process but i had to go lighter on the colors it had o be soft..i mean like child-like..it was so beautiful on her...
Tope's wedding rendezvous left me in a high..cos i was ready to partie after the ceremony...myself and my new friend set off on a tour of Kaduna City..i had the ultimate fun!!!
