Its been a couple of days since I dropped the bomb on the change--I promised to do a post about how it all happened an what brought it about the sudden change; I figured starting out on my blog would be the first place to set things straight.

So my birthday was a few days ago and even though I knew I was going to be out of town on a work trip, I still decided to have my birthday shoot, you know as a reminder of I don't know, something. I got my friend and ace photographer Lemmy of Lemmy Vedutti Studios to help with professional pictures, but I got pictures first before the shoot. Check out pictures from the shoot here.

I also decided to review the Too Faced Cat Eyes palette on myself (I've used it on clients). I was going for a pinup inspired look; without the red lip and a little darker with the eyes. I'm totally in love the palette, check out my review here.

I got these babies a while ago from Too Faced cosmetics, it was sent to me to review and somehow I ended up receiving to sets of the same products; which I gave out in a mini giveaway on instagram; BTW if you aren't following me on insatgram, well you are missing out on some pretty exciting giveaways coming really soon, so follow me on @bellezzafaces.

I promised to post details of this look, a while back and I know its taken a while but its better late than never. It was afun creating this look, as I had to choose what colors to play with and also made the bold step to make my brows thinner than I normally trim them, I must say I was really scared as I haven't had thin brows in a long time ( even then it wasn't on purpose), I love how it came out though.

I've been itching to post about all the product I was finally able to get while I was away (well, I didn't get everything). Imagine, I didn't even shop to restock on items at the studio; I just figured I try them out first and give you the low down, before I start bulk ordering.

I know what you are thinking?? Its not even December yet and already I'm talking about the Christmas mingle yeah? I'm kinda late on this post, as all things have already been planned for this event.

I almost missed doing this post, because I thought I was gonna do a collaboration with another beauty blogger for this look; its still a few days to the end of the month, so we can still work on one.

As you know October is marked as Breast Cancer awareness month and is symbolized by the color pink! Which is obviously why today's look is a pink themed look. By now I'm guessing you know that my favorite lip color to wear is pink but for today's look, I added a bit of twist and tried something I only imagined a few days ago. I also used a new eyeshadow palette which I've seen everywhere on social media; its Morphe Brushes palette in 35B

So I was sent this goody bag a couple of weeks ago; right after the New York Fashion Week, but I only got it a few days ago. Thanks to my sister who received the bag on my behalf and had to haul it halfway around Nigeria before it got to me. It was essentially a Thank you gift from Maybelline New York Nigeria, since I partnered in the social media buzz of the NYFW that featured Bimpe Onakoya backstage as one of the artists for Maybelline.

Hope you had an amazing week? Mine was really tiring. I hit the gym twice this week and for that reason (and that alone) I didn't sleep good for a few nights!!! To all my gym addicts and weight watchers out there...the Lord is your muscle...and fiber!!!

I did promise I'll be more frequent with post--blame it on the amazing internet!!! I know its really not an excuse, but fast internet just makes me wanna sleep at my desk. I've had an amazing week so far and thank you for all the comments, I do love to hear from you guys...always brightens my day and makes me think that I'm doing something relevant in the society ( I just heard my sister snicker, wherever she is).

There's a lot going on the beauty industry and as beauty lover, I have taken it upon myself to always keep you posted on relevant things in the industry. Today's post features and event I was privileged to know about a couple of months back by my mentor Mrs Khuraira Musa. Its the Beauty Africa Exhibition organized by Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions. Informa has already hosted successful events in the Beauty Industry with recognized shows such as Beyond Beauty, The Bride Show, and China Beauty; and they are finally bringing and event to Nigeria.

I'm so excited about today's post. I almost didn't put this look together because my schedule got so hectic; but an hour before closing time, I decided to stick to what I had planned to do at the beginning of the day--determination, I guess.

I created this look a couple of days back and I don't know what inspired the name, but it just popped when I was writing this post.I love smokey eyes!!! It's never wrong!!! unless of course you're only of those chics that just take a blob of eyeshadow smear it on your upper and lower lids and then apply some maroon lipstick...well, apologies---that's just wrong. If done right, smokey eyes could make you absolutely stunning!!!

I just though to drop this post as I've been getting a lot of requests to do detailed posts on clients looks. So I decided to run through Mrs Ajaiya's birthday makeover. I already posted this look on instagram.

Mrs is Ajaiya's is my very own personal, stolen and adopted Aunt. She's a relative to one of my brides and she came over to the studio to get trained to do her makeup and we instantly clicked!!! She's indeed lovable and very amiable...I just love her!!!

I'm trying to shy away from the subject of my recent absence; blame it on the internet service providers in Nigeria. I'm trying to chance my service provider but I went ahead with the old one I use hopefully I'll get the new one sorted pretty soon.

Its that time again when I share my makeup look and how to achieve it. Today's look is also a mini review of the House of Tara Margaret Ekpo palette which by the way has to be the hottest product in the HOT range for now.

 A couple of weeks ago I decided to create a feature to share with you makeup artists that inspire me on instagram. I'm on and off on instagram and I consciously set aside a time of the day to post, otherwise I just keep liking pictures and always look for pictures to inspire my next makeup purchase or look.

Its a beautiful new week and this Monday is starting on an exceptionally brilliant note!!! I had a long 'work-ful' weekend and I loved every minute of it. How did you spend your weekend??
