Hola Bellas,
How are you doing? Hope you had an awesome day?? Mine was wonderful, had a great time with February students at the studio---those peeps are hilarious---love 'em that-away!!!!
Erm---this is my first official FOTD for 2013(my bad!!!). I guess there was never the perfect time considering that I love my camera during my last trip to Lagos and still tryna make up my mind on the brand and type to get. I took these pictures using a friend's camera--special thanks my sweetheart Joyce--thanks for "borrowing" me your camera.
Today's look was inspired the colors in my sleek sunset palette the sunshine yellow and orange color I hardly ever use. Oh!!! I also gave up my geeky framed for hazel colored contact lenses(got tired of people asking me to give them the frames **tiring**). So, decided to create a smokey look to pop my eyes.
I love the total look and I hope y'all get to try it out--enjoy the pictures!!!
Hola Bellas,
How are you doing?? Hope you're having a great time and not getting bored with my throwbacks?? Throwbacks are meant to make you laugh I hope I'm succeeding to also educate you also.
I did not have a name for this look but it was the first look I did right after I got my Zaron goodie bag last year. I just picked a color from the palette dressed up for school. I really love the lips and the lip color lasted all day (even with my 3 course lunch in school)!!!
Hola Bellas,
Hope you're having a great time this beautiful morning. I'm having one of the best Saturdays I've had in a while.
Purple is one of my favorite colors, I have every item of clothing (from shoes to earrings) in at least one shade of purple. Wearing purple eyeshadow will probably be the laziest makeup I wear, cos its almost second skin to me. I got this makeup done in the car on my way to school and I'm might proud of my steady hands!!!
I have just a few beautiful pictures with this look...be sure enough to try it!!!
Hola Bellas,
Hope your day is going great??!!! Told y'all I've been busy. I had a couple of ideas for 2013, one of those ideas is to have a photoshoot every quarter with different amazing photographers I can lay my hands (and pockets on.
My first photoshoot for 2013 was photographed by Rain Vedutti. I've worked with Rain once and he has a very infectious sense of humor. There I was trying to be all professional and serious and he comes in (all 6ft ++), smiles and I'm hooked!!! The theme for this shoot had a bride getting ready for a her traditional wedding. for this chapter I did the Yoruba traditional outfit and it was magical....
Let the pictures speak....
Hola Bellas,
How are you doing?? So I have a couple of pending posts and I'm doing my best to keep them coming.
Towards the end of 2012 I had a photoshoot with talented and amiable photographer Mofe Bamuyiwa of BMB Hive. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and the Ali's were ready to go. I've never met sisters and brothers that are more in sync than the Ali's. They were full of fun and energy, I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful bunch!!!
Enough talk...let the pictures speak!!!
Holla Bellas,
How are you doing today??? Hope you're doing great and looking forward to an amazing week!!!
A few weeks ago, I had a shoot for an upcoming designer based in Lagos. A friend cum model Banke hooked me up with this gig and I didn't mind the pay cos I was working with a photographer I had be looking forward to working with, drum roll please....Rain Vendutti !!!
Beela Bharbs is a clothing line owned by vivacious fashionista Bisola Babalola. Her collection features ready-to-wear pieces with amazing concepts and colors. Personally, I love her creativity and style and I'm looking forward to owning and wearing one of her pieces pretty soon!!! Let the pictures do the talking....
Hola Bellas,
How are you doing today? Hope you had a great weekend and hope your Monday started off to a great week ahead. My weekend was wonderful and I feel ready to take on the world :D
So I'm sure you're guessing what I've got up my sleeve with the title of today's post...not much really. I'm celebrating the return of my nerd look and also one of the eyeshadow colors I really don't like to use--Pink. Considering the fact that over 50% of ladies love pink and I also love pink--I still can't fathom why I hardly ever use it.
Today I decided to be adventurous and take a leap on the wild side. I love the total look and can't wait to try it on someone at a shoot or a wedding.
Enjoy the pictures...and find below the list of products I used to get the look.
Hey Bellas,
As follow up to my NOTW-Teal me Pink I had this look on for the Runway Show recently. Though I was backstage, I had every right to look as gorgeous as I looked. I was aiming for a look with red lips(ruby woo style), but I got carried away by my nail polish, hence I couldn't wear my earrings.
Do notice that most of these pictures were taken in a car en route the venue of the show--but I do take good pictures hence no blurry ones!!!
I had this look together in 10mins....if I can do that, anyone can. Enough talk, enjoy the look and find below list of the products I used...

Hey Bellas,
How have you been?? Hope you had a fun October 1st like i did....I had crazy, out-of-the-box-fun and got my adrenaline shot for the week!!!
So I've had the posy in the offing for about 2weeks but thanks to my service provider its better late than never. This look was inspired by dear and darling Lola Maja of Sacred Beauty. She had a cat-liner look at the AMUF event in Lagos. So I recreated my own version of her look.
How are you doing?? And how’s your week going?? Mine has been awesome and I’m still reeling from the excitement of the Lagos Makeup Fair.
So a few months back we had the maiden edition of the Abuja Makeup Fair (AMUF) organized by Pops Concepts, and fast forward a few months later we had the Lagos Makeup Fair (LMUF). If you missed my post on AMUF please click here to view.
The fair was an avenue for makeup and beauty brands, retailers, artists, enthusiasts and lovers to mingle, discuss and purchase all things beauty and makeup. LMUF took place at the spacious Grand Marquee of Our Place in the heart of Ikeja and the attendance was amazing. Trust Lagosians to show up in droves.
I was at the fair representing Arike Cosmetics and though I was helluva busy I had an opportunity to meet with my friends and colleagues that I’ve known since forever on Facebook and BBM. Although this time I didn’t win any goody bag (Omolola Faleye owes me!!!) I purchased quite a number of things and will be doing a post of my haul in a bit.
Here are few of the exhibitors: House of Tara, Arike Cosmetics, Sleek Makeup and Skincare, Taries World, Gifty’s Daughter, Sacred Beauty, Calicolors Cosmetics, Dazzle Makeovers, Divaz Hair and Beauty, Oma Makeovers, Venus, Jaga Beauty, Hegai and Esther, Sacha Cosmetics, AIT, City People Magazine, Beauty Overdose Magazine, Standup to Cancer Naija, Black Secret's Makeup and much more!!!
So enough talk…let the pictures speak!!!

Hey Bellas,
How are you doing?? Its been such a long time and I must confess I really really missed posting on my blog. Not a day went by without me wishing i could summon up the emotions to write...i would start a few lines and then just end there. I guess now i'm over and done with my blue moments and back and better!!!
A lot happened during my hiatus; some of which i can talk about and some i can't. One of which is the fact that i graduated from Pan African University sometime in July and now yours truly is an Entrepreneurial Manager**dancing azonto** For the rest of this month and hopefully the year, you're gonna be seeing so much of me, you'll be glad i'm back.
So to celebrate my return from the "Blue World" i decided to create a very simple look and its probably the simplest makeup I've ever had on. This look was a request from so many people, that i just couldn't resist anymore.
Enjoy the pictures...look out for the steps below
Hey Bellas,
How are you doing?? I hope you enjoyed your week and hope you’re gearing up for the weekend? It’s been a lovely week for me and I’m looking forward to a busy weekend ahead with a wedding and a seminar…I know I’m gonna have a great weekend…at least one for the books.
Hey Bellas,
How have you been?? How was your weekend?? Can't express how much have missed y'all and I'm so excited cos this week I've got a whole lot to share with you.
Hey Bellas,
How are you doing? Hope you are having a swell weekend???!!!
Very recently I acquired a few makeup products and really have been impressed with them. And funny they are all makeup brands owned by Nigerians!! This means that you don’t have to look too far beyond the shores of this country to get quality makeup products. We have amazing entrepreneurs with amazing visions to take the Nigerian Beauty Industry to the next level. I’m not saying that you can’t buy foreign products, but let’s have a spirit of patriotism and let the foreign brands buy us!!!(**wide grin**)
Hey Bellas,
Happy Democracy Day!!! I must warn that i do not have makeup on in most of the pictures you are about to see.
So i've been getting raves and amazing comments about my new hair do and so i decided to do a post and hook my lovelies with the amazing weave.
I'm sure you must have seen the like of the weave on celebs such as Omawunmi and Diana Ross. Sadly, they are not the inspiration for the new do. Its my second time fixing this weave first time being 2 years ago... Its a Noble Gold product call Bohemian Dora and I used 2 packs in Color 1. Depending on the color of your skin you might wanna choose something brighter...
Enough talk...let the pictures speak!!!
Hey Bellas,
This week's FOTD is a very colorful look that was inspired by a friend.
Products Used:
Eyes
- Sleek Circus Palette: Lemon green and Dark Blue
- Orekelewa eye shadow primer
- Khuraira Eyeshadow in Blue Lagoon and Sunflower
- Tara Orekelewa Eyshadow Trio--Osenken
- Sleek Dip-it eyeliner
- Jordana easy liner in Sea green and Black
- Davis No. 18 Pencil
Face
- Mary Kay Medium Coverage Foundation 600
- Khuraira Finishing Powder in Hazelnut
- Khuraira Age control concealer (Dark)
This is the very first time I’m using lashes for a FOTD on my blog...yay!!!
I started by using a tape from the end of brows to the outer corners of my eyes; to create the clean angle. Started by applying Orekelewa primer on my eyelid and then sleek shadow in lemon green from the inner corner of my eye to the middle of my eyelid. Then used the blue lagoon from the sleek palette followed by the Khuraira blue lagoon from the outer corner of the eye and blended into the crease. Lightly used the electric blue from the Osenken trio in the same manner.
I used Sleek Dip-it liner to liner my upper lid and rimmed with Jordana easy liner in black. Then used the Jordana Sea green pencil on my lower lash line.
Brows were filled with Davis pencil and highlighted using Khuraira Concealer(Dark) and Khuraira Sunflower eyeshadow.
