While I'm still trying to deal with my jet lag, I figured I might as well put up this post I've had in my drafts for a bit. If you follow me on instagram and snapchat; you'll know I've been out of Nigeria for a couple of days.

I promised you guys a bunch of reviews and I'm keeping my word judiciously. Here's a review of the newest brand in the market proudly owned by a Nigerian and one I'm so glad to call my friend-- Funke Tonye-Preghafi of Gifty's Daughter Makeup Boutique.

I'm terribly loving my new swatch techniques so much so that I 're-did' the swatches from Kayge Lipsticks which has been in my drafts for a while. I figure doing these swatches will require dedicating some time as I have to work a full face makeup to rock them.

I know I'm not the only one whose makeup antenna beeps when they hear the word SALE!!! When I hear the word, I go into the adrenaline high and my brain goes into overdrive. 

Hmmmm, so I'm tempted to start with "The Makeup Fair is here again" then I realized that I sound like the advert for a movie sequel loudly announced by Nnamdi--you know the type I'm talking about *grinningwidely*

I'm back with another first impressions and review post, this time a proudly Nigerian brand and one I have reviewed before. I was so impressed when I was told that the brand worked on a couple of suggestions I made in that post which obviously made me want to try the new products. Check out my earlier review here.

I promised to fill you in on my new #prettybeats and I'm keeping true to my words....I haven't even posted any of this pictures on any of my social media platforms although they've been posted by a couple of wedding blogs and Genevieve Online.

I'm having a great week so far, I've been getting so many work emails and all I can say is Thank you to God and to you, a lot of the recommendations i get come from readers of this blog and all I can say is that I promise that I'll always stay true to everything you guys love about this blog.

If you checked out my last post and saw my haul video on YouTube then you'll know about the review bag I was sent courtesy Unveil Makeup. Unveil Makeup, owned by Olubunmi Oyeniyi is one of Nigeria's foremost makeup makeup artists. I remember going through pictures of Unveil works while training to become a makeup artist, its been years and she has definitely evolved not only as a makeup artist but now she also products her line of makeup products and also carries an assortment of wedding and engagement rings.

Hope you had an amazing week? Mine was really tiring. I hit the gym twice this week and for that reason (and that alone) I didn't sleep good for a few nights!!! To all my gym addicts and weight watchers out there...the Lord is your muscle...and fiber!!!

I did promise I'll be more frequent with post--blame it on the amazing internet!!! I know its really not an excuse, but fast internet just makes me wanna sleep at my desk. I've had an amazing week so far and thank you for all the comments, I do love to hear from you guys...always brightens my day and makes me think that I'm doing something relevant in the society ( I just heard my sister snicker, wherever she is).

There's a lot going on the beauty industry and as beauty lover, I have taken it upon myself to always keep you posted on relevant things in the industry. Today's post features and event I was privileged to know about a couple of months back by my mentor Mrs Khuraira Musa. Its the Beauty Africa Exhibition organized by Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions. Informa has already hosted successful events in the Beauty Industry with recognized shows such as Beyond Beauty, The Bride Show, and China Beauty; and they are finally bringing and event to Nigeria.

Hope you're having a fun, stress-free week? My workful weekend starts today as I have an event up North in Gusau, Zamfara state (I covet you prayers). I'm looking forward to making my bride look flawless for her multiple events. I love Hausa weddings!!!

How are you doing?? Hope you had a great weekend? Mine was one of those ones you can't wait to get over with and start a beautiful week!!! Monday is usually my favorite day of the week (for some weird reason I know not of), I usually look forward to it with so much anticipation!!!

I'm trying to shy away from the subject of my recent absence; blame it on the internet service providers in Nigeria. I'm trying to chance my service provider but I went ahead with the old one I use hopefully I'll get the new one sorted pretty soon.

Its been a couple of days since the 1st Makeup In Makeup in Nigeria Conference; and we still can't keep quiet about it!!! I've had people all over call me asking for their pictures and wanting to know how they can get what....in one word; it was a marvelous experience. I freaked out on the day of, cos I realized that my memory card was not it its slot on my camera (amateurish photographer)...thank to Khuraira who saved my blogging career(wide grin).

The event which featured veterans in the makeup/beauty industry with over 250 years experience both within and outside Nigeria. It also featured masterclasses, motivational speeches and award presentations. Some of the speakers were Tara Fela-Durotoye (House of Tara), Mrs Opral Benson, Buntricia Bastian, Mr Bayo Haastrup (Ijade Egbin), Khuraira Musa (Khuraira Cosmetics), Lola Maja (Sacred Beauty), Bimpe Onakoya (Maybelline Nigeria), Eni Balogun (Lise Beauty), Joy Adenuga, Bolanle Feyita-Okusanya (MakeupPro), Funmilayo Irantiola (Abeke Makeovers) and many more!!!

How have you been?? Hope your last week was wonderful?? I must apologize for not even attempting one post!!! I got back fro the Port Harcourt Makeup Fair and the whole week was a whirlwind of activities, I started planning a trip to Lagos (where I am now). Well, this week is looking to be busier but I promise to post up everything I have planned.
