Rabesque meets Kanem meets Bellezza!!!

How are you doing? How’s your day going?? I hope it’s going great!! I'm so loving this post title...lol

I had another photoshoot with my darling friend and co-entrepreneur Jameelah Audu for her bespoke Abbayah collection. In case you missed my post on my last photoshoot with Rabesque Designs, click here to refresh yourself.

So Jamie moved from just importing Abbayahs to actually designing the outfits herself and this time I must say I died, went to heaven and came back; cos these designs are truly heavenly and amazing. It’s so hard to imagine that it was all designed by Jamie but believe me she did.

So this photoshoot featured darling Kingi Kingigbe as our fabulous photographer and the location was a fabulous town house located in Maitama. Kingi also designs some cute fashion accessories—actually ipad covers, makeup purses and cheque book covers all with Ankara and gemstones!!! I’m doing a post on Kingi’s line called “Kanem” pretty pretty soon.

We had 2 beautiful and elegant models; Paula and Michelle from Casanova Models who brought the Abbayahs to fashion heaven. The models also sported bejeweled makeup purses and ipads covers from Kanem Accessories. The look for the shoot was smokey eyes and red/nude lips. For the eyes I went for the classic smokey eyes with gold and dark brown hues on the edges and the crease. The first look features red lips which I topped with orange lipgloss to give a reflective sheen, paired with pink blush and highlights on the forehead and nose-bridge. The second look was simply the smokey eyes matched with nude lips which I used a shimmery nude lip gloss for both models.

I had a very fun day with the crew, got a chance to try out my amateurish photography skills and felt like I had know everyone since forever!!! The shoot was hassle and drama free and went very smoothly (wish all shoots were like this)—although it rained quite a bit we were able to get the garden shots Rabesque is known for.
