FOTD: Silver and Purple Owambe Look
1:01 PM
Hola Bellas,
I know what you are gonna say!!! Before you
say it; I come bearing gifts:d!!! Well, not really but I'm almost gonna be a
staple in your life...pretty soon!!!
I've been having a bit of writers block and
I thought I was coming down with a bit of psychological illness(gladly it
isn't) turns out I had a lot on my plate and all I needed was a well deserved
break to structure all I'm chewing. Hopefully, I've gotten my groove back up to
80%.
So I figured since I've been out of your
face for this long, a look will be well appreciated. Last weekend with all the
work I had (brides and appointments) I was also invited to a wedding party aka
owambe--sadly, I missed the Lagos Makeup Fair. I missed the owambe by a thread
cos I decided last minute not to attend and then I changed my mind again.
Which is why today I'm sharing the look I
had on for the event. Well, it's not complete cos I left out the headtie(gele).
Hopefully, I'll get invited to another owmabe soon.

After filling out my brows, I started by
priming my eyes with NYX JEP in Milk and contoured my eyes lightly with a
regular matte brown eyeshadow. With a small eyeshadow brush I applied UD Revolt (silver)
on to half of my eyelid and followed by applying Urban (purple) also from the UD Electric
palette. I applied UD Blackout eyeshadow to the outer corner of my eyes to
give the look more depth. I then lightly applied the black shadow into my
crease. Thereafter I lined my eyes with Jordana liquid liner and my water line
with Inglot gel liner and applied my false lashes.
For my face I decided to extremely
highlight and contour so I started by applying LA HD concealer under my eyes
and blended with a wet beauty blender. I patted on Ben Nye Banana powder to set
my highlight. I then contoured my cheeks with Maybelline Powder in Cacao; I
also highlighted and contoured my nose using the sam products and then applied
my Mary Kay foundation all over my face making sure to blend my highlight and
contour evenly and the applied dark pink shadow from my coastal scents blush
palette and finished off my face with Maybelline Clear and Smooth powder in
Cinnamon.
For my lips I was feeling very ombre-ish. I
started by lining my lips with Jordana Easyliner in Mulberry Creme and filled in my
lips halfway with Tara Lipstick in Tejuosho and then applied MAC Snob to the pout of my
lips. I ditched my lipbrush and just smacked my lips severally to blend all
colors and topped the lips with Jordana lipgloss.
I totally came up with this look as soon as
I decided to attent the party and I figured doing the purple themed look wasn't
a bad idea, what do you think of this look? And will you be trying it soon??

- I recently embarked on a diet and exercise routine hence the almost long neck. Will keep you posted on my progress in subsequent posts. Also trying out new hairstyles!!!
- I no longer take my pictures myself (selfies); my assistant has now been assigned the responsibility of making sure I post looks here (besides the camera+flash is so heavy)
- I had a hard time deciding ton what jewelry to wear hence the different neck pieces and finally settled on the 10 layered bead by SuaveBeads; suavegems@gmail.com. Find below full pictures of my outfit (designed by my humble self)
