3 Things Blogging Has Taught Me

Happy new month and week!!! Hope you are having an awesome day? Mine has been pretty calm, I'm currently counting down to my next collaborative project with a makeup brand and my fingers are so itchy.
Throughout this entire project I've been ever grateful to God who has given me the skills, talent and wisdom to be able to carry out what I have in the past few years. While there have been highs, there have also been lows, so I've decided to share a little about what blogging as taught me and also tag a few other bloggers to share...
- I've learned to be humble, I don't want to sound perfect, I'm still learning. I receive mails from some readers and I step back to ask "this person reads my blog??" It's sometimes surreal and I always have to burst my bubble and tell keep myself in check before pride steps in. I also get several abusive emails that usually take a lot of caution to respond to in all this my mantra has been "Never let anyone clap for you too soon"
- Patience is a virtue - - it might sound like a cliché but it's so true!!! I remember when I got a mail from a makeup brand to expect some makeup products and I found out I was the only Nigerian blogger they would be sending products to, I immediately remembered when I almost closed down my blog cos someone had mentioned I was wasting my time, I wonder what would have happened if I had.
- Free don't always mean it's good - - while trying to maintain a reputation for honest and relatable reviews I've had to bunch over a couple of brands whose products I didn't think made the cut for me personally...I simply responded back with my honest review of the brand and question if they'll like me to post. I don't think because you are sending me free products that I would end up not using, that shouldn't make me sell my right to good products.
