Review: Urban Decay Shadow Box
2:00 AMHola Bellas,
Happy New Month lovelies!!! Welcome to June....
I told you to look out for more reviews from my UK Haul and I'm sure from the look of he packaging of this product you can tell I've been trying my best not to deface anything.I'm surer by now you know how much I love Urban Decay products and not just because of the L'Oreal/Maybelline conspiracy (they are all the same brands people!!!), they just seem more pigmented and have such weird names for items.
I got this Shadow Box on a whim, what I really wanted was the Vice 3 palette but they were sold out at the UD station in Debenhams but I decided to purchase the next palette that caught my eye and the alien inspired purple got my attention (purple freak-ish)
The UD Website says "It’s the ultimate beauty dilemma: you’re going away for the weekend and you can only bring ONE palette with you. Quick, which one do you choose? No need to give yourself a makeup-induced panic attack; Urban Decay’s Shadow Box has you covered."---I totally agree as you can transform you look from day to night with the sleek palette
Can someone just attest to the cute packaging?? And that UD logo really differentiates it from the UD Beauty With An Edge palette and I sure do hope the color on the package lasts longer also. You can already tell that I've done quite a bit of digging into this palette and as far as I can tell with the colors used, its a pretty sweet palette.
The colors featured in this palette are:
Top Row (L-R): Sin, Indo (bright metallic emerald green shimmer), Bordello (pale mauve shimmer w/gold micro-glitter), Tornado (vibrant deep purple shimmer), Smog (deep coppery bronze shimmer), Blackout (blackest black matte)
Bottom Row (L-R): Flash (bright iridescent purple shimmer), Mushroom (warm gray shimmer), Lost (medium metallic brown shimmer), Freelove (golden vibrant peach shimmer), Moonshadow (bright navy blue shimmer w/tonal sparkle), Baked Cowboy (golden bronze shimmer w/tonal sparkle)
The colors Sin and Smog are featured in the both the Naked 1 and Beauty With An Edge palettes while the shade Blackout is featured in the Naked 2 palette (I'm so obsessed with Blackout, it's the most pigmented matte black shadow ever)
My favorite colors in this palette and the reason why I actually purchased it are Bordello and Freelove probably because I'm still in my pastel phase. I also definitely lean into Baked Cowboy every once in a while.
I got this palette for £23 which was about 7,061 naira when I got mine (might be cheaper or more expensive now).
What do you think of the colors and size of this palette, what Urban Decay product have you tried and what's your take on the brand?? Do share...
Muchos love,
