Anastasia Beverly Hills Mini Haul

7:36 PM

Hey Pretties,

I just want to shout from the rooftops---I finally nabbed myself some Anastasia Beverly Hills products. I know I've carried last but I was really bidding my time - - - especially as a recovering makeupholic (not sure about the recovering though).
I ordered these a couple of weeks ago via Mall for Africa during their special 15% shipping discount - - - I was given special $200 gift card to shop using the Mall for Africa app (I know, I know know, just wipe the jealous look of your face).

The fabulous items I got from my haul are:
  • ABH Contour Cream Kit in Medium
  • ABH Artist Palette
  • ABH Dip Brow Pomade in Chocolate
  • ABH Lip gloss in Venom
I finally ran out of my Motives Maven Sculpt palette and figured trying out the ABH Cream Contour kit wouldn't be a bad idea. I definitely love the shades in this palette, although it's consistency is not as creamy as I would have loved it to be. The size is definitely larger than most other contour kits. The palette contains 6 shades for light to dark skin tones. The shades are;;

***Banana
***Cream
***Warm Coral
***Nude
***Cinnamon
***Chocolate
I apparently picked the wrong shade and added to cart and because I was in a hurry to check out, I didn't go over my picks. This contour shade is in medium and a better shade for my skin tone wold have been the kit in Deep, but I'm working this out as best as I can. I do wish I had ordered the Powder Contour Kit instead because the consistency of this is really dye and its really going to be hard to get used to--I might as well stick to using my L.A Pro HD Concealer. So far I've been using Nude to highlight and I still haven't gotten used to it.
At a point I thought the rave about the ABH eyeshadows was a tad too high; well, until I tried them. The shadows are so divine so smooth and buttery and absolutely divine! The pigmentation of the shadow is amazing. The artist palette contains 12 heavily-pigmented shades ranging from a neutral dusty rose to a dramatic emerald green—deliver smooth, intense color so you can create an endless array of looks.

Shade Descriptions:
***Buttery: A matte, build-able beige
***Dusty Rose: A soft, satiny mauve
***Phresh: A vibrant, happy yellow
***Blue Velvet: A deep, intense navy
***Orange You Fancy: A fiery, burnt orange
***Beigely: A glimmering, neutral greige (grey+beige)
***Coal: A sultry, inky black
***Anaconda: A sparkling, jungle green
***Punch Fuschia: A vibrant orchid hue
***Unicorn: A shimmering periwinkle
***Baby, I’m a Star: A copper-flecked brown
***Aubergine: A moody, eggplant purple

The palette also comes with a double ended blending brush which I absolutely love and the quality is amazing. Totes adding it to my brush kit.
I was very skeptical  about the lip gloss because I thought the pigmentation would be sheer even though I had seen a couple of short videos on instagram. For some reason I just thought it wouldn't be as pigmented as it was in those videos, I'm absolutely in love with the gloss and I wish I had taken more glosses instead of the Cream Contour palette.

I'm still unsure of this shade of Brow Pomade; I chose the shade because @makeupbyjaytee uses this same shade so I thought it work bus so far I'm still trying to get used to it. I love the consistency I just wish I bought it over the counter instead of online, that way I would have been able to try out a perfect shade for my skin tone.

I'm particularly excited about the eyeshadow palette and can't wait to create looks with it. I'm still weird about dark colors on my lips so the lip gloss will end up in my work it--I just might give it a try on myself.

I was able to purchase these goodies from online from Macy's through the +Mall For Africa app on android. However, if you would like to purchase any of them immediately, it's available on MyMakeupNG and BeautyRevNG.
