FOTD: Pink Cadillac Using Bolwin Matte Lipstick
3:22 AMHola Bellas,
Hope you're having a fun, stress-free week? My workful weekend starts
today as I have an event up North in Gusau, Zamfara state (I covet you
prayers). I'm looking forward to making my bride look flawless for her
multiple events. I love Hausa weddings!!!
Today's look is also a mini review of a product I received; Bolwin Matte Lipstick in Superstar. Bolwin is owned by Nigerian entrepreneur Wunmi, based in the UK. The brand consists primarily of Lipsticks and Lipglosses and has about 200 color shades of lipsticks (that got me....200!!!). I was sent the Bolwin Matte Lipstick in Superstar and Mechanical Waterproof Pencil in Satin #10 (look out for product images real soon).
I opted to keep the eyes really simple since the lip color would be a vibrant pink.

After
priming the eyes NYX pencil in Milk, I filled in the brows with Jordana brow pencil in Dark Brown and concealed around
the brows with Motives Sculpt palette in Fire to make them more clean. I then started applying Cocoa from the Smashbox Wondervision Palette with a
fluffy brush to the crease of the eyes, and using a small eyeshadow brush, I applied
Nude from the Coastal Scents 88 palette to the brow bone to highlight the brow bone. Using a
pointed brush I applied Blackout to the outer V of the eye and crease
and blended more. I then applied the nude color to about 3/4 of the eyelid and followed with a dark brown shade and a bit Black to the outer corner. I blended the black into the crease with a
pointed brush for more depth, making sure to blend upwards and at the
lower outer lash line. I my upper lash line
with Jordana semi permanent liquid liner in Black and my waterline with Inglot
Gel liner in #77. For my lashes, I first applied Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara
in Jet Black before applying Red Cherry #217 lashes using Ardel Lashtite glue.
For my face I applied Mary Kay foundation in Bronze 607 all over my face and then I applied LA HD Proconceal
concealer to the undereye area; I blended this with a wet beauty blender and
the used Ben Nye powder in Banana to set the highlight before contouring
using Maybelline powder in Cacao; also did same process for the nose. I then applied Khuraira Invisible Powder and
blended all using my favorite Real Techniques Buffing brush.
For my lips, I left out lining it and applied the lipstick straight from the tube. The lipstick is really matte so it helped that I had already applied EOS lip balm prior to applying the lipstick.
I love the simplicity of the whole look and the lipstick just adds that pop!!! What do you think?? Do leav your comments and thoughts....
Till my next post...
