My Maybelline Goody Bag

Hola Bellas,

So I was sent this goody bag a couple of weeks ago; right after the New York Fashion Week, but I only got it a few days ago. Thanks to my sister who received the bag on my behalf and had to haul it halfway around Nigeria before it got to me. It was essentially a Thank you gift from Maybelline New York Nigeria, since I partnered in the social media buzz of the NYFW that featured Bimpe Onakoya backstage as one of the artists for Maybelline.
 

My goody bag had a couple of delights and the products I received are:
  • Maybelline Clear Smooth All In One Powder in Nutmeg
  • Maybelline Colossal Mascara
  • Maybelline Colossal Kajal
  • Maybelline Deam Fresh BB 8-in-1 Beauty Balm Skin Perfector in Deep
  • Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm in Hydrate and Cherry Me
  • Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow in Edgy Emerald
Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm in Hydrate and Cherry Me--I first learnt about this product in a review I read online and I was quite excited when I got not just one but 2 in the bag. Its not officially being sold in Nigeria, so think I'm stocked for a while. The Cherry Me has a bit of a pink tint and cherry flavored scent while the Hydrate is clear and has no scent.

Earlier this year, whilst my sister was in London, I rummaged through the Maybelline website for several colors of the Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow but when she got into the stores, she couldn't even get a single pot!!! I was quite devastated but my prayer has finally been answered as I was dancing Shoki when I saw it in the bag; I really can't wait to try a look with it. Its a soft cream eyeshadow, that can be worn as an eyeshadow base and the color I got is really a vibrant green.

The Clear Smooth Powder is definitely one of the most popular Maybelline products in Nigeria, as it took the campuses around  Nigeria by storm and before long almost everyone had their shades written across their foreheads. Well, "I'm Cinnamon" and I was sent a shade in Nutmeg which means this goes into my makeup kit. The BB cream is a product I also can't wait to try out!!! I've tried a couple of other BB creams and I think I'm slowly gravitating towards using them daily because BB creams are lighter than foundations and not only do they provide some level of coverage but also repairs and hydrates your skin. This Mabelline BB Cream is an "8-in-1 Skin Perfector" and also Titanium Dioxide Sunscreen  broad spectrum SPF30.

The duo of the Colossal Mascara an Kajal is definitely Maybelline's most popular product in Nigeria. I believe 7 out of every 10 ladies have either the mascara or kajal in their makeup purse. I'm not a fan of the mascara wand (you know how I'm addicted to tiny wands) but the mascara is so black that I forget about my wand-ssues. The kajal is equally as black and has been nicknamed the 24hour kajal.
