Hola Bellas,

A few posts back, I excitedly recapped how I got my package from Motives Cosmetics by Loren Ridinger. Having swatched and tried some of the products, I thought to let you know my thoughts on the products, packaging and if I think it’s an investment.

My favorite product of the entire package I got are the Motives for Lala Lipshine Mineral Base lipglosses, I love the pigmentation, consistency and the applicator—it reminds me of the Lip Teaser applicator from my Fashion Fair Fresh Time Capsule.

My next favorite item is the Motives by Loren Ridinger “My Beauty Weapon” palette. I love the choice of colors and again, the pigmentation is amah-zing!!! With this palette it’s easy to transform your makeup from day to night in just a couple of minutes. My absolute favorite color in the palette is the color Venus which is a lovely shimmery pinky gold color; I couldn’t wait to try on. The palette has a total of 9 eyeshadow colors out of which, 4 are matte and 5 shimmery. It also has 2 lipglosses and a dual ended eyeshadow brush. I also love that the eyeshadows and lipglosses have names, that way it’s easier to describe it another plus is that the palette is so lightweight and extremely flat, can even fit into a clutch purse.

The Motives by Loren Ridinger Boxed Beauty palette is another favorite, it has 6 shimmery eyeshadows and 2 blushes (both with shimmers) and 2 brushes (blush and eyeshadow). I love the bronzy blush; it suits my skin tone perfectly as a highlighter and bronzer so I’ve been using it either way. For me, the only setback with this palette is that the colors don’t have names, otherwise, if you are one for smokey eyes--- this palette was made for you.

I’ve never been a fan of baked eyeshadows, I have 2 of them and I’m never excited to use them, save for the fact that I love the color. The Motives by Loren Ridinger Baked Eyeshadows are gorge!!! I used the baked eyeshadow for a look I did with the Beauty Weapon palette and I’m still in awe at the effect. Fall out was very minimal and I will be reaching for this product for that added wow to my eye makeup!

Having to be someone who believes in primers and matifiers, I don’t very much believe in setting sprays; so getting the Motives by Loren Ridinger 10 Years Younger Makeup Setting Spray made me feel like I was breaking new grounds. The spray contains aloe extracts which made me feel a lot relieved about what effects it would have on the skin. It has a light flowery fragrance and is paraben free!!! After trying it, I’m almost gonna get addicted to using setting sprays--- not that I’m gonna defect on my pre-makeup routines.

I was sent 2 shades of Motives by Loren Ridinger Mineral Lipsticks (Brilliant and Unstoppable). The lipsticks are creamy and very matte. I’m not enthused by any of the shades I got as they don’t suit my skintone. Brilliants is a very nude pink color which I prefer when compared with Unstoppable which is a coppery color that reminds me of Bobbi Brown Lip Stain in Cranberry Stain.

I’m very picky with blush colors, I like my blush in a ginger/autumn shades. The Motives by Loren Ridinger Mineral blushes are got are so matte and Runway is the exact shade of blush that I love, it also sits on the skin quite beautifully.

I’m yet to try the Motives byLala Mascara, I’m a bit uneasy about the wand, it’s larger than most mascara brushes I stick to, I’ll do a standalone review on it and let you know my thoughts.

Motives by Loren Ridinger and Lala products are available in US and Canada on www.motivescosmetics.com and they can be shipped internationally to ANY part of the world( I got mine in about 4 business days---I think that’s really cool) at www.global.shop.com
