I’m so excited about what’s happening in
the Nigerian makeup industry, it seems every day we are breaking bounds and
limits and our very own artists are being recognized all over the world!!!
If you are a beauty lover in Nigeria, I’m
sure by now you are familiar with the name Bimpe Onakoya. She is a 10-year veteran in
the Nigerian beauty industry and I would like to say she’s the most celebrated
makeup artist we have in Nigeria. It’s also no news that she is the Artistic
Director of Maybelline New York Nigeria-I must say she’s a great mentor and role model!

After eight seasons of iconic runway
looks, Maybelline New York returns for its 9th season as the Official Cosmetics
Sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2014
The New York Fashion Week begins today!
From the 4th through to September 11th 2014, I’ll be working with Maybelline to
bring you closer to the runway than ever!
This year, Maybelline New York Nigeria’s
Artistic director Bimpe Onakoya, will be the first Black African MUA to work
backstage glamming up runaway models side by side with co-world class MUAs and
Fashion designers at the New York Fashion week 2014.
The event of this trip themed “Bimpe In
New York”, will be covered live on all Maybelline New York Nigeria online
platforms and we will have exclusive snippets from the event. So, you’ll be
getting an up close and personal encounter with Bimpe’s exciting journey and a
virtual backstage access to your favorite designers and makeup artists.
During this exciting week, there will be
giveaways and Bimpe Onakoya will return with special gifts for ardent fans.
