Hey Bellas,
How are you doing and how is your week going?? Hope you're having a swell time??
So..contrary to all my busy busy plans this week, I've been sentenced to a one week compulsory bed rest..so right now it sucks to be me. To make matters worse getting internet connection is proving difficult. So i took a shot and i'm smiling hard at myself in the cafe.
Hey Bellas,
I want to say a very big thank you to y'all for being with me from the beginning till now. I couldn't have done it all but for God and my amazing clients, followers, readers and fans.
I've recently been nominated in The Nigerian Events Awards(TNEA) in the Best Makeup Artist Category. I would like to thank you for the nominations and also ask that you vote for me. Voting has commenced and ends on July 31st 2012, the award ceremony takes place in Lagos on the 24th August 2012.
I've been nominated alongside Nigeria's foremost makeup artsits; Banke Meshida-Lawal(BM Pro), Lola Maja(Sacred Lashes), Yewande Peregrino(Beyond Faces), Dimeji Alara and Lamide(Tints&Ties). It is indeed an honour and I do not take it for granted.

Very recently I was sent a goodie bag courtesy Zaron Makeup. I was pretty excited to get the goodie bag because I've seen and heard of Zaron but never actually used the products. So the bag contained a total of 14 items;
- Concealer + Foundation on One (5)

- Ultrashine Lip Gloss (1)
- XXL Volumizing Mascara (1),

Hey Bellas,
How are have you been? Its been almost a week since my last post.
I'm still in shock over the sad event that occurred last Sunday 2nd July, 2012. The loss of lives is still unreal to me. I still can't believe a whole family of 6 people are gone...just like that!
Can't believe the husbands who said goodbye to their wives, the wives who said goodbye to their husbands, the couples who said "I love you" for the last time; the parents and children who hugged and smiled at each other; the ones who said to their loved ones "I'll see you soon"....all gone!!!
At this time everyone is searching for whom to blame and some people have asked God "why?". I don't have the answers to the reason why it happened and I don't even want to understand why many lives were lost. But I know that God knows best and he has a perfect plan. He's working everything out and it all gonna be fine.
If you know anyone that lost someone in the accident; please reach out to them, call them, send an sms and visit them. They need you now more than ever. Their loss cannot be replaced but the emotional impact and effects can be helped.

Hey Bellas,
How are you doing? Hope you are having a swell weekend???!!!
Very recently I acquired a few makeup products and really have been impressed with them. And funny they are all makeup brands owned by Nigerians!! This means that you don’t have to look too far beyond the shores of this country to get quality makeup products. We have amazing entrepreneurs with amazing visions to take the Nigerian Beauty Industry to the next level. I’m not saying that you can’t buy foreign products, but let’s have a spirit of patriotism and let the foreign brands buy us!!!(**wide grin**)
Banke Meshida-Lawal is one of the foremeost names in the Nigerian makeup industry so I decided to have her products as the first on my review page. I will be doing reviews of Nigerian owned makeup brands first (yeah, I now I’m partial) I can’t boast of having her full range of products however I know that I’m one of the few makeup artists that even have them.
The BM Pro products are Hypoallergenic (which means they are sensitive to all skin types) and has been in the market for over 5years (talk about tested and trusted). Believe me they are quite pricey---good stuff hardly come cheap.
In my personal collection I have the BM Pro Foundation Primer (contains Vit. A & E and grapeseed extract), 3 single eyeshadows(Lava, #830, HD Magenta) and 1 lipstick(Velvet Godiva Matte)
Of my collection, my personal favorite is the eyeshadow in Lava. It’s the perfect bronze/burnt shade. Its highly pigmented and its my best bronzy look for bridal makeup and even day makeup. It can also be used to create a smokey eye look when you’re not going for the regular black shadow.
The foundation primer has an opaque look and almost powdery feel. When it dries it still feels like you have wet primer on. When I met with Banke last year (at the airport) she advised that you use just a little bit (one drop is good enough), I like to think that the foundation primer is the key to a glam foundation look..so do follow her advice. Also love the primer bottle because it can fit into my smallest makeup purse (less luggage).

My lipstick shade (Velvet Godiya Matte) is a deep brown color and I use it best for nude lips/ semi nude lips, although I do wish it lasts a little longer, despite the “matte-ness” it still has a glossy look and feel. Maybe it’s the color, but I really I’m not loving the lipstick.
Purple is my bestest color ever that’s probably why I picked the BM Pro Dimensional Shadow the shade (KF) #830. It’s a purple glittery shadow and so far I love the color but not the glitter in it. I recently did a photoshoot with this particular shadow and will leave the verdict up to you. BTW…on scale of 10, my affections for this product is a 7!
Last and definitely not the least is my BM Pro High Definition Loose paint in the shade HD Magenta. Its also in the pink/purple family, hence my attraction to it. I advice that to use this product like all loose shadows get a stiff brush. Also had a shoot with this product and it was really fun to use in a High Fashion editorial.
The official opening of the BM Pro Abuja studio comes up sometime in Feburary and I’m gearing up to get loads of product, I’m so excited cos my heart is set on a few shadows, lipsticks and gloss….watch this space!!!
Hey Bellas,
Happy Democracy Day!!! I must warn that i do not have makeup on in most of the pictures you are about to see.
So i've been getting raves and amazing comments about my new hair do and so i decided to do a post and hook my lovelies with the amazing weave.
I'm sure you must have seen the like of the weave on celebs such as Omawunmi and Diana Ross. Sadly, they are not the inspiration for the new do. Its my second time fixing this weave first time being 2 years ago... Its a Noble Gold product call Bohemian Dora and I used 2 packs in Color 1. Depending on the color of your skin you might wanna choose something brighter...
Enough talk...let the pictures speak!!!
